Abstract:
During the pre-grinding and finish-grinding of mineral and non-mineral materials, such as limestone, cement clinkers, granulated slag, cured concrete or ashes, the material to be comminuted is placed into the first roll gap (34) forming between a lower driven roll (10) and an upper roll (12), wherein in the region of the vertex of the lower driven roll (10) an amount of the material to be processed is placed as a material layer (32), the thickness of which can be adjusted on the lower driven roll (10) and supplied to the first roll gap (34), and wherein the upper roll (12) is elastically set against the lower driven roll (10) with an adjustable pressing force and dragged by friction fit with the material layer (32) or has a dedicated drive, and in addition to the upper roll (12) an additional, laterally offset roll (14) is present, which together with the lower driven roll (10) forms a second roll gap (36) and which is also elastically set against the lower driven roll (10) with an adjustable pressing force and dragged by friction fit with the material layer (32) or has a dedicated drive.
