Abstract:
A device and method for preparing a unidirectional continuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic composite material. An open application process design of hot melt fusion of hot melt resins and fibers is used, resins plasticized and melted by an extruder are delivered to hot melt resin application guide rollers by means of configured die heads, and a hot melt resin film layer having a uniform thickness is formed on roller surfaces of the hot melt resin application guide rollers; by means of a set rotational movement, the hot melt resin application guide rollers apply, along the roller surfaces of the guide rollers, hot melt resins continuously and evenly to a row of continuously running and evenly unwound fibers; the row of evenly unwound fibers on which the hot melt resins are applied continuously passes through a multi-stage series, parallel interactive, and open rolling and dipping application apparatus of continuous fibers and hot melt resins to complete effective fusion of hot melt resins and fibers; a complex of effectively fused hot melt resins and fibers continuously passes through cooling and shaping apparatuses under a driving force of main traction and is wound into a unidirectional continuous fiber reinforced resin composite material.
