Abstract:
The embodiments of the present specification provide a method and a device for processing a video signal for inter prediction. A method for decoding a video signal according to an embodiment of the present specification comprises the steps of: obtaining a symmetric motion vector difference (SMVD) flag of a current block, wherein the SMVD flag relates to whether a second motion vector difference (MVD) for predicting a second direction is determined on the basis of a first MVD for predicting a first direction; checking conditions for a decoder side motion vector refinement (DMVR) on the basis of the SMVD flag; and generating a prediction sample of the current block on the basis of the conditions for the DMVR.
