A method and device for projection control and a projection device. Before formal projection, an all standard color content is projected onto a projection surface, then, a content currently displayed on the projection surface is collected to produce a projection surface test image; the colors of pixels of the projection surface test image are compared with standard colors to determine non-standard color pixels requiring color correction; the colors of the non-standard color pixels are corrected to produce corrected colors for the non-standard color pixels; during formal projection, the corresponding corrected colors are employed for projection of the non-standard color pixels on the projection surface. The colors of the non-standard color pixels on the projection surface are corrected and, during projection, the corrected colors are employed for projection of these pixels; therefore, even in the absence of a projection screen or in the presence of a smudge on a projection screen or on a projection wall or in the presence of colored ambient light, the degree of color reproduction for a projected image is enhanced and projection quality is enhanced, thus enhancing user experience and satisfaction.
