Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for rate matching, the method comprising: acquiring an encoding bit sequence, the encoding bit sequence comprising g groups of equal length, the number of encoding bits in each group being N/g, wherein N refers to the length of a mother code of a polar code, N is an integer power of 2, g is an integer greater than or equal to 4 and smaller than N, and g is an integer power of 2; determining a bit position requiring slotting/shortening in the encoding bit sequence based on the groups; and acquiring the encoding bits excluding the encoding bits requiring slotting/shortening in the encoding bit sequence to obtain an encoding bit sequence after rate matching. The speed matching of slotting/shortening is performed based on the groups, which is convenient to realize and improves the performance of the polar code.
