Abstract:

Disclosed are a device, method, and recording medium for performing prediction for a target block. An image decoding method may comprise the steps of: selecting whether to use a blended reference line; deriving the blended reference line; generating one or more samples of the blended reference line; and performing prediction for a target block using the blended reference line. The blended reference line can be generated as two or more reference lines around the target block are blended. Various methods can be used in order to derive the blended reference line and the samples of the blended reference line.
