Abstract:
The method for recovering a useful substance according to one aspect of the present invention comprises: a first step for preparing a culture liquid containing a microalga in which a useful substance is accumulated; a second step for generating microbubbles in the culture liquid prepared above, rupturing the microalga with the thus generated microbubbles and/or during the generation process of the microbubbles, allowing the useful substance extracted from the ruptured microalga to stick to the microbubbles, floating the microbubbles, said microbubbles carrying the useful substance sticking thereto, toward the liquid surface of the culture liquid, and thus forming a bubble section containing the microbubbles, said microbubbles carrying the useful substance sticking thereto, in the liquid surface of the culture liquid; and a third step for recovering the microbubbles from the bubble section and breaking the recovered microbubbles to thereby recover the useful substance thus concentrated.
