Abstract:
Provided are a method and device for reducing electromagnetic radiation specific absorption rate (SAR), used for solving the problem of existing methods of reducing SAR being unsatisfactory and running counter to the miniaturization of mobile terminals, said method comprising: at different time points in a second duration after a first duration from a startup time, a terminal collecting the transmit power of said terminal to obtain at least two transmission powers; calculating an average transmission power of the at least two transmission powers, and, according to the average transmission power, determining an SAR corresponding to the average transmission power; if the terminal determines that said SAR is greater than a preset threshold, then reducing the transmission power of the terminal after the second duration. In this way, during the process of using the terminal, the value of the SAR is dynamically adjusted, flexibility is high, and it is unnecessary to add a shielding component between the antenna and the human body when producing the terminal; therefore the miniaturized design of terminals is supported.
