Abstract:
A method and device for removing a screw, comprising a right-facing blade bit (1), a left-facing blade bit (2), a holding frame (3) having holding arms (9, 10), a bar (4) for opening and closing the holding arms, a failed screw (5), and objects (6, 7) fastened together. The right-facing blade bit (1) and the left-facing blade bit (2) are mounted facing the direction in which the failed screw (5) is loosened and rotated, and the holding frame (3) presses cutting blades (12, 13) of the two bits against the failed screw (5). Because the failed screw (5) is pressed by the cutting blades (12, 13), when the objects (6, 7) fastened together are rotated about a center axis (8) in the direction opposite the direction in which the blades of the right-facing blade bit (1) and the left-facing blade bit (2) face, the failed screw (5) is loosened and removed by being rotated in the direction opposite the direction in which the objects (6, 7) fastened together are rotated or is cut and removed by the cutting blades (12, 13).
