Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and device for encoding/decoding a scalable point cloud. The decoding method of the present disclosure may include: a step for acquiring, from a bitstream, an encoded texture image, an encoded geometry image, encoded occupancy map information, and encoded auxiliary patch-info; a step for acquiring a decoded texture image for each partition by using the encoded texture image; a step for reconstructing a geometry image by using at least one among the encoded geometry image, the encoded occupancy map information, and the encoded auxiliary patch-info; and a step for reconstructing a point cloud by using the geometry image and the texture image for each of the partitions.
