Abstract:
A method for separating the solid phase in a drilling mud consists in forming an adhesive layer (4) of the drilling mud (2) on a turning curved closed surface (3) partially immersed into the drilling mud (2) and simultaneously treating the drilling mud (2) and the adhesive layer (4), formed of it, with a direct current electric field in order to reduce the surface tension value within the adhesive layer, the speed of rotation of the curved closed surface (3) being regulated to obtain a desired level of centrifugal forces in the adhesive layer (4). A device for implementing the method comprises containers (1, 9) for the drilling mud to be cleaned (2) and the cleaned one (8), a driven drum (3) mounted over the container (1) for the drilling mud to be cleaned so that a part of its surface is immersed into the drilling mud for the purposes of forming the adhesive layer, and electrodes (10, 11) connected thereon to the direct current source (12) and thus creating an electric field in the drilling mud (2) and in the adhesive layer (4).
