Abstract:
Technetium-containing molybdenum is dissolved in a solvent to obtain a solution. The solution is passed through a first column packed with an extraction chromatographic resin, and the molybdenum-containing solution that has passed therethrough and a solution obtained by cleaning the first column are optionally put together to thereby recover the molybdenum. Thereafter, an acid solution is passed through the first column to elute the technetium from the extraction chromatographic resin and recover the technetium. With this method, it is possible to isolate Tc-99m from a target substance which has been produced, for example, through 100Mo(p,2n)99mTc and thereafter brought into a solution state and to supply the isolated Tc-99m.
