Abstract:
Provided in the present invention are a method and a device for deploying a service in a virtual network. In said method, a virtual network feature manager receives an instantiation request, the instantiation request including a VNF instance identification and a first deployment preference identification; obtaining a VNF deployment template (VNFD) on the basis of the VNF instance identification, the VNFD including descriptive information for at least two potential deployment nodes and at least two deployment preference descriptions, wherein the descriptive information for each potential deployment node includes node information and deployment criteria for said potential deployment node, and each deployment preference description information includes deployment information for a node which corresponds to the deployment preference and requires deployment; determining node information and deployment information for a node that requires deployment on the basis of the first deployment preference identification and the VNFD; sending the node information and deployment information determined for the node that requires deployment to a virtual infrastructure manager. The present invention deals with the service requirement in existing technology that one service template cannot support multiple deployment preferences.
