Abstract:
Disclosed in the present text are a method and device for statistically multiplexing an optical transport network. The method comprises: in the Optical Transport Network (OTN), a packet service being mapped to different flexible optical channel data units (ODUflexs) through a Generic Framing Process (GFP), the ODUflexs being not rate-filled with an idle frame of the GFP when the pipe rate of the ODUflexs is not lower than a set minimum rate, the different ODUflexs being multiplexed into the same ODUk pipe through a statistical multiplexing technology of the Optical Transport Network (OTN), and the pipe rate of the ODUk being filled by an idle (IDLE) frame in the statistical multiplexing technology when the bandwidth of all packet services does not occupy the whole ODUk pipe; and, the ODUk carrying ODUflexs being switched at a passed-through intermediate node and transported to a destination node, and when the ODUk carrying ODUflexs is transported to the destination node, the ODUflexs being de-mapped from the ODUk and then the packet service being de-mapped from the ODUflexs through the GFP.
