Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and a device for supplying power to a low power wide area (LPWA) device, being used for solving the problem of the excessive size of the battery for supplying power to the LPWA device. In the embodiments of the present disclosure, having determined to enter a dormant state from an awake state, an LPWA device in an awake state stops being powered by means of its own battery, and is powered by energy which is received by means of radio frequency wireless transmission and is provided by a wireless power supplying device. Compared with an LPWA device of which all the required power is provided by the battery, the LPWA device in the present disclosure is powered by means of wireless radio frequency, so as to maintain the operation of the device when the device is in a dormant state, so that the battery configured for the LPWA device only needs to maintain the power required by the device when the device is in an awake state, thereby reducing the power demand of the battery configured for the LPWA device, accordingly decreasing the size of the battery.
