Abstract:
The present application relates to the technical field of optical communication, and discloses a method and device for transmitting data in an optical transport network, which help to reduce bandwidth waste so as to improve bandwidth resource utilization. The method comprises: mapping first type service data to a payload block at a specific location in multiple consecutive payload blocks, wherein the multiple consecutive payload blocks occupy a payload region of an optical data unit (ODU) frame; mapping second type service data to any payload block at any location in the multiple consecutive payload blocks other than the payload block at the specific location; and mapping the ODU frame to an optical transport unit (OTU) frame or a flexible OTN (FlexO) frame; and sending the OTU frame or the FlexO frame. The technical solution disclosed by the present application can be applied to scenarios of hybrid transmission of service data.
