Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and a device for transmitting a paging message, relate to the technical field of telecommunications, and are capable of achieving repeated transmission of a paging message in an unlicensed frequency band mobile communication system by configuring a time-frequency resource of the paging message. The method comprises: a base station determining, according to a cell coverage enhancement capability, a time-frequency resource for carrying a paging channel and a control signal for scheduling the paging channel, wherein the time-frequency resource comprises the number of sub-frames occupied by repeated transmission of the paging channel and the control signal for scheduling the paging channel, and one or more time-domain position relationships between the repeated transmissions of the paging channel and the control signal for scheduling the paging channel; the base station sending, according to the determined time-frequency resource, the paging channel and the control signal for scheduling the paging channel to a terminal. The technical solutions provided by the embodiments of the present invention are applicable to the transmission of a paging message between a terminal and a base station.
