Abstract:
Provided in the present application are a method and device for transmitting system information, for reducing the time taken for a terminal device to receive said piece of information. The method comprises: a network device receives a first message transmitted by a terminal device, the first message being used for requesting system information; and the network device transmits the system information in a second window insofar as a second message is not transmitted in a first window, where the second message is used for indicating whether the network device has transmitted the system information, and the second window comes after the first window.
