Abstract:
A method and device for treating manganese containing water, wherein meltable manganese in water is removed by crystallizing by passing untreated water containing carbonic acid ions in an upstream direction to a fluidized-bed reaction column having no support bed and using manganese sand as a fluidizing medium and by regulating a pH value of treated water inside the fluidized bed. Meltable manganese in untreated water, as well as suspended manganese, being removed by removing a suspended material layer in untreated water that has passed the fluidized bed at the upper portion of the manganese sand fluidized bed of the fluidized-bed reaction column and a required amount of treated water being introduced into untreated water for cyclic use.
