[PROBLEMS] To provide a method and a device capable of efficiently crushing and drying a waste bread into fine powder and granular material with low moisture content so that the waste bread can be used as a mixed feed for livestock. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] The waste bread (A) is fed into a primary drying passage (1) having, therein, rotary crushing vanes (2b) and a hot air injection nozzle (3a) having an injection port facing a delivery direction and crushed by grinding down the waste bread (A) by the tip faces of the rotary crushing vanes (2b) and the inner bottom face of the primary drying passage (1), and water content in the waste bread (A) is evaporated and removed by the heated primary drying passage (1) and hot air from the injection nozzle (3a). In addition, the waste bread (A) is supplied into a secondary drying passage (4) through a net-like body (7a) while more finely crushing the bread by a rotary cutter (20) and further dried in the secondary drying passage (4).
