Abstract:
Provided are a method and device for trimming a square container such that an excellent cut surface in which cracks and burrs are suppressed is obtained in the trimming of the square container. When a punch cutter (6) first cuts a square container (1a) into a square cylinder part (10) prior to trimming, the punch cutter (6) cuts in a state inclined to the direction of thickness of the cutting region on the square cylinder part (10), and next, cuts by the punch cutter (6) being moved circumferentially along a trim line (TL) on the square cylinder part (10).
