Abstract:

The invention provides a method, a device, and an unlicensed access point for accessing a radio access network. The method is applicable to a fifth generation mobile communications technology (5G) communication system, and comprises: a first device generating target data via a protocol adaptation layer; and the first device sending the target data to a second device via an Internet protocol (IP) layer and/or a media access control (MAC) layer of an unlicensed access point (AP). Embodiments of the invention enable access to a 5G RAN using the protocol adaptation layer of the first device and an unlicensed radio interface, thereby providing a greater access speed to the first device.
