Abstract:
A method and device for video calling, and a mobile terminal. The method comprises: when a mobile terminal is connected to a power line, searching for another mobile terminal connected to a power line of a same electricity meter to which the power line is connected; networking and establishing a video call network with the other mobile terminal found; during a video call, modulating a video signal captured by the present mobile terminal to produce a modulated signal; and transmitting the modulated signal to the other mobile terminal in the video call network via the power lines. The technical solution employing embodiments of the present invention builds the video call network established via the power lines by the mobile terminals connected to the power lines of same electricity meter, forms a small local area network for the transmission of the video signal, and implements video calling, thus solving the problem in the prior art in which video calling cannot be performed at places having no GPRS network or Wi-Fi network coverage.
