Abstract:

As a disclosure relating to a video coding method and device using an improved merge with a motion vector difference, the present embodiment provides a video coding method and device, in which: a bi-directional difference motion vector is adaptively generated for bi-directional predicted motion information (motion information prediction) by using a uni-directional difference motion vector derived according to a merge with motion vector difference (MMVD) mode; and the generated bi-directional difference motion vector is adaptively applied to any uni-directional reference picture or bi-directional reference picture.
