Abstract:
A method for welding anchor supports for refractory linings of a metal structure of an industrial plant comprises the steps of making a plurality of holes (f) in a residual refractory lining (cu) until the metal structure (s) is uncovered, each hole (f) having a diameter greater than that of a ceramic ferrule (8) for stud-welding, cleaning the bottom of the holes (f), arc welding the anchor (Z) on the metal structure (s) of the industrial plant through each hole (f) made in the residual refractory liner (cu) so that the anchor protrudes from the residual refractory lining (cu), and overlapping new refractory concrete (cn) in order to restore the protective lining for the metal structure (s) of the industrial plant. A device for welding anchor supports for refractory linings of a metal structure of an industrial plant, consisting of a welding gun (1) for arc stud-welding, comprising a body (2) that holds a chuck member (9) for an anchor or clamp (Z) and is connected to a handle (3), a perforated support plate (4) mounted on the body (2) by means of stems (5), a tubular extension (6) mounted on the perforated support plate and supporting a ceramic ferrule (8) by a nut ring (7), wherein the tubular extension (6) and the nut ring (7) have a diameter smaller than that of the ceramic ferrule (8).

AMENDED CLAIMS

1. A method for welding anchor supports for refractory linings of a metal structure of an industrial plant, characterized by the following steps:

- making a plurality of holes (f) in a residua! refractory lining (cu), which covers the metal structure (s) by means of a core drill machine (C) until the metal structure (s) is uncovered, each hole (f) having a diameter larger than that of a ceramic ferrule (8) for stud-welding;

- cleaning the surface of the metal structure (s) at the bottom of the holes (f) from sludge and oxidation by means of a cleaner (P) in order to obtain electrical continuity;

- arc welding with ceramic ferrule (8) an anchor or clamp (Z) for refractory concretes on the metal structure (s) of the industrial plant through each hole (f) made in the residual refractory lining (cu) so that the anchor protrudes from the residual refractory lining (cu); and

- overlapping new refractory concrete (cn) in order to restore the protective lining for the metal structure (s) of the industrial plant.

The method according to claim 1, wherein the overlapping of the new refractory concrete (cn) is carried out according to a technique chosen inside the group comprising the preparation of formwork and casting, and the guniting, the new refractory concrete adhering to the structure (s) of the industrial plant by means of anchor supports or clamps (Z) welded through the plurality of holes (f)-
