Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and a device for the wet treatment of material (1) by sputtering or spraying or for drying the material after a wet treatment, said material being conveyed as sections or from roller to roller in continuous installations having rotating transport means (2) as the transport wheels (6). A liquid film present on a surface (21) of the material (1) in the form of a puddle is sucked off in a horizontal direction, i.e. parallel to the surface (21). Rotating transport means (2) have at least one suction section (3) which has an inlet (25) on the surface (21). The sucking step is performed in locations where the material (1) is supported by the transport means (2), thereby allowing a safe transport of the film. In order to accelerate the sucking step, a gas can be directed in the direction of the inlets (25) to push against the flowing off liquid film, resulting in an effective push and pull system.
