Title:
METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING EXTERNAL SHORT CIRCUIT FAULT OF LITHIUM-ION BATTERY PACK ON BASIS OF TWO-STAGE MODEL PREDICTION
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2020/155233
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided by the present invention is a method for diagnosing the external short circuit fault of a lithium-ion battery pack on the basis of two-stage model prediction, which relates to the technical field of lithium-ion power battery safety, comprising: first, carrying out an external short circuit experiment on a lithium-ion battery pack, constructing a two-stage equivalent circuit model for the external short circuit of the battery pack, and using tested experiment data to perform offline optimal identification for battery model parameters; next, determining the battery state in the battery pack when operating according to battery measurement data; marking adjacent battery units which experience abnormality as a whole when discovered that the voltage of part of the batteries experiences a voltage abnormality, denoting same as an abnormal battery pack, starting a first stage battery model, triggering a second stage battery model if the error of the first stage battery model is less than a critical threshold value, and calculating model errors; and finally, conducting fault diagnosis for the abnormal batteries by means of the fitting degree between measured data and the two-stage models. The present method has simple steps, is easy to achieve online, is highly reliable, and is suitable for online fault diagnosis and safe management of an electric vehicle power battery.
