Provided in the present invention are a method for discovering a Bluetooth device and the Bluetooth device. The method comprises: a second Bluetooth device receives a first broadcast frame of a first Bluetooth device; the second Bluetooth device determines whether the first broadcast frame comprises first instruction information; and if the first broadcast frame comprises the first instruction information, then the second Bluetooth device transmits at least one second broadcast frame within a preset time period after receiving the first broadcast frame, the second broadcast frame comprising second instruction information, the second instruction information being used for instructing a Bluetooth device that received the second broadcast frame to exchange information with the second Bluetooth device. In embodiments of the present invention, the second Bluetooth device transmits the second broadcast frame after receiving the broadcast frame comprising the first instruction information and instructs the other Bluetooth device that received the second broadcast frame to exchange information with self, thus preventing continuous broadcasting by the second Bluetooth device, reducing the power consumption of the second Bluetooth device, and safeguarding the privacy of the second Bluetooth device.
