Abstract:
The present invention pertains to a method for a dismantling a plasma display device comprising: a plasma display panel (PDP) (11), which has a front plate (20) and a back plate (21); a metal support plate (14), which is attached to the back plate (21) of the PDP (11) via an adhesive member (16); and a circuit board (15), which is attached to the metal support plate (14). By emitting infrared rays from the vicinity of the front plate (20) of the PDP (11) while blowing air on the circuit board (15) attached to the metal support plate (14), the adhesive member (16) between the PDP (11) and the metal support plate (14) is heated, thereby reducing the adhesive strength. The PDP (11) and the metal support plate (14) are then separated.
