A method for dispensing washing agents of a washing machine and a washing machine. The dispensing method comprises the following steps: S101. obtaining preset water feeding information corresponding to washing agents dispensed in accommodating cavities of a distribution box; S102. determining whether to start an adjustment button provided on a washing machine; if yes, executing S103; or if not, performing water feeding according to the preset water feeding information; S103. obtaining a water feeding sequence of water feeding pipes according to adjustment information inputted on the adjustment button, and feeding water; and S104. executing a washing procedure. The dispensing method resolves the problem of erroneous dispensing of washing agents in a distribution box of a washing machine, and the water feeding sequence of water feeding pipes in the distribution box of the washing machine can be manually adjusted by means of an adjustment button provided on a control panel of the washing machine, thereby avoiding a waste of washing agents caused by erroneous dispensing, or failure in normal washing due to a serious dispensing sequence error. The dispensing method is intelligent in operation. The washing machine has a simple structure and is suitable for production and promotion.
