Abstract:
The present application relates to the technical field of network communications, and in particular to a method for distributing electrical signal data in an OTN network, and a related apparatus. The method involves: acquiring a data unit to be processed, wherein the data unit is obtained by dividing electrical signal data according to an arrival time of the electrical signal data; according to a data state of the data unit, determining the type of processing needing to be performed on the data unit; according to the processing type, determining a target VNF group, wherein the target VNF group comprises at least one VNF having the ability to perform the type of processing on the data unit; determining a target VNF from the at least one VNF; and sending the data unit to the target VNF. By sending a data unit to a target VNF so that the target VNF processes the data unit, an electrical layer network processing function of an OTN can be transferred from a dedicated hardware board card to a standard NFVI platform, thereby simplifying the hardware structure of an OTN device and improving the degree of flexibility of deploying an OTN network.
