Abstract:

A method of drying a fluorinated 2-alkoxypropionic acid derivative, comprising sequentially subjecting to drying step (1) and drying step (2) a fluorinated 2-alkoxypropionic acid derivative represented by the general formula: (I) (wherein A represents an alkoxy, etc.; X represents a halogen atom; Y¹ and Y² may be identical with or different from each other and represent a fluorine atom, etc.; n is an integer of 0 to 3; m is an integer of 1 to 5; and Z represents a hydrophilic group), characterized in that the drying step (1) is performed at 90&ring C or below until a water content exceeding 0.3 mass% but not greater than 10 mass% is reached while the drying step (2) is performed at 100&ring C or above until a water content of 0.2 mass% or less is reached.
