METHOD FOR DRYING AND LOW-TEMPERATURE CARBONIZATION OF LIGNITE BY STEAM HEAT CONDUCTION

A method for drying and low-temperature carbonization of lignite with steam heat conduction, comprising: placing a material to be dried into more than two drying chambers in sequential communication and sealing the drying chambers, and then introducing steam into one of the drying chambers until the drying chamber is full with the steam and reaches a steam pressure as needed, then stopping the introduction of the steam and activating the heating device in the drying chamber; when the temperature of the steam is increased exceeding the burning point of the material, prolonging the heating time so as to achieve the low-temperature carbonization of the material. The overpressure steam produced in the drying chamber during the heating of the material is discharged into the next sealed drying chamber with the material to be dried having been placed therein, and so forth, an upstream drying chamber recovering the overpressure steam discharged from the previous drying chamber and performing the pre-heating and drying as disclosed in step two; the resulting condensate water is discharged form a discharge outlet for the condensate water. The dried lignite has a significantly reduced moisture, a greatly reduced volume and increased particle strength; the investment cost is low, and the method is also suitable for drying other materials.
