Provided is a method for removing a recombinant human nerve growth factor precursor by using hydrophobic interaction chromatography characterized in that a washing step is added before elution, said washing step using a washing fluid reduced by a stage conductance and an organic solvent, in order to remove a precursor molecule variant.
