Title:
METHOD FOR EDITING FILAMENTOUS FUNGAL GENOME THROUGH DIRECT INTRODUCTION OF GENOME-EDITING PROTEIN
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/123134
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for editing a filamentous fungal genome through direct introduction of a genome-editing protein molecule or complex. Said method includes three aspects. According to the first aspect, a genome-editing protein molecule or complex for a target gene is directly introduced into an Aspergillus fungal cell to edit a gene in the Aspergillus fungal genome. According to the second aspect, a desired DNA fragment and a genome-editing protein molecule or complex for a target region in the filamentous fungal genome is directly introduced into a filamentous fungal cell to knock-in the DNA fragment at a desired target site in the filamentous fungal genome. According to the third aspect, genome-editing protein molecules or complexes for multiple target genes are directly introduced into a filamentous fungal cell to co-edit the multiple genes in the filamentous fungal genome.
