Title:
METHOD FOR THE ELECTRICAL DETECTION OF PEPTIDES, PROTEINS AND OTHER MACROMOLECULES
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/220875
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The invention relates to the use of an aerolysin nanopore or a nanotube for the electrical detection of peptides, different proteins of at least one amino acid and other macromolecules, such as polysaccharides or synthetic or natural polymers present in a preparation, in which the nanopore or nanotube is inserted into a lipid membrane that is subjected to a potential difference greater than -160mV, in a reaction medium comprising an alkali metal halide electrolyte solution having a concentration of less than 6M and a temperature of less than 40°C, for the purpose of differentiating the aforementioned peptides, proteins and other molecules according to length and mass.
