Abstract:
The present invention relates to the technical field of surface treatment of rollers. Disclosed is a method for electroplating a release liner roller. The method comprises the following processes: a pre-electroplating treatment process and an electroplating process. The pre-electroplating treatment process comprises the following steps: rinsing with water, rinsing with 5% dilute sulfuric acid, rinsing with a detergent, rinsing with water, rinsing with 5% dilute sulfuric acid, rinsing with an EDTA solution, rinsing with water, rinsing with acetone, and air drying. The electroplating process uses an electroplating solution consisting of: 55-65% of phosphoric acid, 15-25% of dilute sulfuric acid, 5-15% of pure water, and 5-15% of phosphor bronze. The electroplating process uses a current density of 28-35 A/dm2. A release liner roller is rotated in an electroplating tank for 12-100 turns at a turning speed of 90 mm/s at a distance of 20-35 mm from the anode. The release liner roller manufactured using the electroplating method has a chrome plating hardness of 750-900 HV and an optical haze range of 0.5-300. The optical haze is also uniform and can be easily adjusted.
