Abstract:
A method for eliminating backlight Mura, the method comprising: dividing backlight emitted by a backlight module into a plurality of backlight sub-regions (R), and further respectively dividing each of the backlight sub-regions (R) into a plurality of unit blocks (U); then selecting a certain backlight sub-region (R) from among all the backlight sub-regions (R) as a standard backlight sub-region, selecting, from brightness compensation data of all the backlight sub-regions (R), brightness compensation data corresponding to the standard backlight sub-region, and calculating the brightness differences between all the other backlight sub-regions (R), other than the standard backlight sub-region, and the standard backlight sub-region; and then implementing brightness compensation on the corresponding backlight sub-regions (R) according to the brightness compensation data corresponding to the standard backlight sub-region and the calculated brightness differences between the other backlight sub-regions (R) and the standard backlight sub-region. According to the method, the defect of backlight Mura can be effectively eliminated, and a direct-type backlight module may be made thinner or the cost thereof may be lowered; moreover, the data storage volume can be substantially reduced, and logical resources are saved on.
