Abstract:
The invention discloses methods of encoding and identifying a 2D bitmap barcode comprising MxN virtual dot storage blocks. The method comprises: forming, by filling dots into the virtual dot storage blocks, a plurality of coordinate calibration blocks, a plurality of data storage blocks, a first indication block and a second indication block, wherein the dots filled in the first indication block and the plurality of coordinate calibration blocks are all located in the center locations of the virtual dot storage blocks, and the number of the dots filled therein is only one; and forming, according to a combination of the first indication block and the second indication block, a direction and coordinate indication set indicative of a direction and a coordinate, wherein the second indication block contains no dot or contains at the center location thereof an ink dot capable of reflecting a light having a specific wavelength; and the plurality of coordinate calibration blocks are mutually separated from each other and distributed in the 2D bitmap barcode. The invention has advantages of having a large encoding capacity and small interference to human vision, and being simple and reliable to identify.
