Abstract:

An inexpensive and simple and easy method that with respect to glycosyltransferase derived from a microbe of the genus Photobacterium, realizes a sugar conversion reaction efficient as compared with conventional enzymatic reaction systems. There is provided a method in which with respect to glycosyltransferase derived from a microbe of the genus Photobacterium, for example, β-galactoside-&agr 2,6-sialic acid transferase derived from Photobacterium damsela, the enzymatic activity thereof is enhanced by the addition of an appropriate amount of NaCl to the enzymatic reaction system thereof.
