Abstract:
The present invention discloses a method for establishing a direct link between multi-link devices. The method comprises: a first multi-link terminal sends an instruction requesting a direct link to be established, and the instruction is transmitted to a second multi-link terminal via a multi-link access device; the second multi-link terminal sends an instruction agreeing to establish the direct link, and the instruction is returned back to the first multi-link terminal via the multi-link access device; after receiving the agreement instruction, the first multi-link terminal sends a confirmation instruction, and the confirmation instruction is transmitted to the second multi-link terminal via the multi-link access device; and after receiving the confirmation instruction, the second multi-link terminal completes direct link establishment, and data is directly sent and received on the confirmed link without passing through the multi-link access device. Since multiple logic entities of the multi-link terminals can coordinate whether the direct links are established and how many direct links are established, the direct links between the multi-link terminals are dynamically configured, thereby effectively improving the use efficiency of wireless resources, further increasing the data transmission rate, and reducing the transmission delay.
