Abstract:
In this method for establishing wireless communication, a portable operation unit transmits an operation mode switching instruction via a first wireless communication path to a stacker crane having an automatic operation mode and a manual operation mode. A second reception unit (22A) is connected to the stacker crane. For example, a connection request that is a request to establish wireless communication over a second wireless communication path is wirelessly transmitted to the second reception unit (22A) by a portable operation unit comprising a portable remote control (6C). The second wireless communication path is a separate path from the first wireless communication path. After receiving the connection request, the second reception unit (22A) determines whether a first condition requiring that the stacker crane be in the manual mode is met. When the second reception unit (22A) determines that the first condition is met, wireless communication is established with the portable operation unit via the second wireless communication path.
