Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for estimating the booster negative pressure of a hydraulic brake system provided with a brake booster which assists in applying the brake pedal force by means of the booster negative pressure generated by using the intake air negative pressure of the engine. Specifically provided is a method for estimating the booster negative pressure which involves the following steps: a step for calculating, from the results of detecting the acceleration rate in the vehicle front and back direction, the vehicle deceleration rate generated by means of a brake control; a step for calculating the booster negative pressure recovery amount in a predetermined calculation period; a step for calculating the booster negative pressure consumption level during the calculation period by using the calculated deceleration rate and the functional relationship between the deceleration rate and the booster negative pressure consumption level; and a step for calculating the estimated booster negative pressure value on the basis of the calculated recovery amount and the consumption level. Moreover, the abovementioned method executes the aforementioned steps per calculation period.
