Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for estimating flight information of a spherical object by using a circle marker, wherein geometric features of the circle marker marked on the spherical object are used to estimate the flight information of the spherical object, the method comprising the steps of: extracting image points of the circle marker from camera images from different points of view; obtaining oval expressions from the different points of view from the extracted image points of the circle marker; and calculating a flight speed and a rotation speed of the spherical object from a position vector and a normal line vector of each of the oval expressions. To this end, in the method for estimating flight information of a spherical object by using a circle marker of the present invention, the circle marker can be identified regardless of a color or brightness and the like of the circle marker by extracting an oval expression of image points of the circle marker from a monoscopic image or a stereoscopic image, converting the oval expression through a geometric relationship, and analyzing the number of cases which the image points of the circle marker may have.
