Abstract:

A convenient testing method for estimating a skin irritation, used to predict the degree of skin irritation by a substance to be applied to the skin. There is provided an irritation estimation method for predicting the degree of skin irritation by a test subject, characterized in that the test subject is brought into contact with skin constituting cultured cells, followed by measuring of the amount of substance P in the culture solution.
