Abstract:
The purpose of this invention is to estimate, with a high degree of accuracy, the steel rupture starting point due to hydrogen embrittlement. A device 1 for estimating the steel rupture starting point comprises: a unit 11 for calculating hydrogen concentration distribution which calculates the hydrogen concentration distribution within steel when the steel being estimated ruptures as a result of hydrogen embrittlement; a unit 12 for calculating local threshold hydrogen content which calculates the threshold hydrogen content at which the steel being estimated ruptures due to hydrogen embrittlement; and a unit 13 for estimating rupture starting point, which reads off the hydrogen concentration distribution from a storage unit 3, calculates, from the hydrogen concentration distribution, the position within the steel at which the hydrogen concentration of the threshold hydrogen content is distributed, and has the position within the steel serve as the rupture starting point of the steel being estimated.
