Title:
METHOD FOR ESTIMATING UNEVEN WEAR OF TIRE, AND DEVICE FOR ESTIMATING UNEVEN WEAR OF TIRE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2015/079741
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method and a device for estimating, with high accuracy, uneven wear of a shoulder section, using few sensors. This device (10) for estimating uneven wear of a tire is configured from: an acceleration sensor (11) which is provided to an inner surface of a tire tread, and which measures acceleration of the tire in a radial direction; an acceleration-waveform extraction means (12) which extracts, from an output signal of the acceleration sensor, the acceleration waveform of a post-kick-out region; a means which calculates, from the extracted acceleration waveform, a vibration level (α) in an uneven-wear-measuring band and a vibration level (β) in a reference band; an uneven-wear-determination index calculation means (16) which calculates, from the vibration levels (α, β), an uneven-wear-determination index (γ), i.e. an index used to perform uneven-wear determination; and a determination means (18) which determines, from the size of the uneven-wear-determination index (γ), whether an edge of the shoulder section of the tire has uneven wear.
