Abstract:
In order to provide a method for quickly evaluating the alkalinity of urea water with a simple operation a method for evaluating the alkalinity of urea water used for an SCR system is provided, the method including: a step for adding only once, into a strong acid-containing test solution, a predetermined amount of a urea water sample to prepare a mixture; a step for measuring the pH of the mixture; and a step for determining whether the urea water sample is degraded by comparing the measured pH of the mixture and a predetermined reference pH.
