Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a means for directly evaluating the content of mesenchymal stem cells in a cell-containing sample in various forms such as an adipose tissue.
The present invention pertains to a method for evaluating the content of mesenchymal stem cells in a cell-containing sample, said method comprising a nucleic acid detection step for detecting a base sequence, which contains at least one CpG site methylated at a higher degree in mesenchymal stem cells than in other cells, from the base sequences of CD31 promoter or a chain complementary thereto contained in genomic DNA obtained from the sample.
