Title:
METHOD FOR EVALUATING PROGRESSION LEVEL OF DIABETIC DISEASE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/121266
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a urinary test method whereby the early symptoms of a disease caused by diabetes can be diagnosed and the controlled state after intervention can be appropriately evaluated. More specifically, the purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for evaluating urinary test data whereby the early symptoms of diabetic nephropathy can be appropriately diagnosed. For this purpose, the present inventors examined diabetes-related antigens (biomarkers) discharged in urine by using the immune-complex transfer enzyme immunoassay (ICT-EIA) method. As a result, it was clarified that the progress of renal dysfunction, together with the progress of diabetes, can be understood at early stage by the combined use of multiple kinds of biomarkers. The present invention was thus completed.
